Relentless Race Day Information
50k starts at 7am21k and 30k start at 8am3k, 5k, and 10k start at 10am
Make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before your start time to grab your bib and get ready to roll.
If you’re running 3k, 5k, or 10k, you’ll pick your distance when you grab your bib. If you’re in the 21k or 30k and feeling spontaneous, you can change your race at bib pickup too. No judgment, we’re flexible!
How to Get Here
Here’s the Google Maps link to The Ark: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Vdt9CVi5k5oeANPDA
Park along the road opposite The Ark, but please don’t park on both sides—it’s a narrow road, and we need to keep it safe and clear.
Course Breakdown
We’ve got a mix of 3k, 5k, and 10.5k loops here.
3k racers: follow the red flags5k racers: follow the blue flags10k racers: follow the purple flags
Here’s the fun part:
21k: 2 laps of the purple flag loop30k: 18k gravel road prologue + 1 lap of the purple flag loop50k: 18k gravel road prologue + 3 laps of the purple flag loop (may the trail gods have mercy on your soul )
The trail will be clearly marked, but racers are responsible for paying attention to the flags. Follow the flags, not your friends! (Unless your friends are following the right flags, then you’re good.)
Aid Stations
Let’s talk aid. For the ultra runners, we’ve got limited aid:
The Ark is the main aid station for the 50k, at 18k, 30k, and 40k.For the 30k, you’ll hit aid at the 18k mark, and for the half marathoners, it’s at 10.5k.
We’ll have water, Monique’s homemade electrolyte drink, pretzels, bananas, and potatoes (yum). Ultra runners, feel free to bring your own stash of goodies and set up a personal aid station at The Ark.
Important Notes:
No time cut-offs! The slowest time to “beat” for the 50k is 10 hours and 15 minutes.Washrooms? Yes, at The Ark and any spot well off the trail.
Photography
The awesome Richard McDonald will be on-site snapping photos, and he’s always happy to share them. Donations are appreciated if you grab some shots.
The Forecast
This Saturday is looking perfect—partly cloudy and 12C (no rain or sleet). This could very well be the BEST Relentless ever!
